The Buford family and employee's take great pleasure in welcoming you to our website and hope you enjoy your visit!
This registered herd has been bred up over the last 18 years by using proven AI sires with an emphasis on not using single trait selection. We are excited to open a new chapter in our families ranching history that began in 1941, when our maternial grandparents Jane and John Dunkin purchased a ranch west of Hominy, Oklahoma and began a commercial cow/calf operation.
Our registered females and bulls have been managed under the same guidelines that have been essential for the survial of our commerical herd for almost seven decades: balanced EPD's,fleshing ability, feed efficiancy, performance and disposition. By doing so our cattle are fundamentally sound and should be equipped to work in any environment.
We are fortunate to have Mike Horrell as our manager of the registered Angus herd. Mike has continually shown a superior ability to breed sound, functional cattle, and a willingness to assist other breeders.
